I developed a passion for designing and creating from a young age, intrigued by the fashion world and the opportunities which it has to offer. I quickly became hooked to the thrill of actualising my visions, developing my skills and refining my designs. With a family tie to the fashion industry, my grandparents’ apparel businesses have been a continuous inspiration, founding my affection for the process and results of fashion design. This sentiment encouraged me to undertake textiles in High School (Wenona School, Sydney) and in my graduating year, achieved top marks in NSW. I then went on to study a Bachelor of Fashion (Design) with a minor in Fashion (enterprise) at RMIT, in which I graduated with Distinction. Through countless experiments and diverse materials, my skill set within fashion design continues to grow, subsequently teaching me the value of personal reflection within my works. I have developed personal style within my projects, utilising particular techniques repetitively, including hand beading and embroidery, a bright colour pallet and personal motifs. I admire the capacity in which my degree offered, allowing me to employ anecdotal qualities within my work. I am eager to advance my skills and practices through new opportunities, applying what I have learned and experiencing the fashion and costume industry firsthand.
