When researching for this design, I was intrigued by the beautiful stained glass windows that cover the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, France. I found these windows to be extremely aesthetically pleasing and was instantly hooked by the story behind the making of them.
Throughout the design and production of this garment, I have subverted multiple features of a wedding dress while using the elements and principles of design create a cohesive garment. The incredible crafted stained glass that covers the Sainte-Chapelle has inspired me to produce a distinct high-low style dress comprising a variety of diverse techniques and subversions of a traditional wedding dress.
